BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University student Collin Christensen has been selected as one of 18 students from across the United States to attend the Advanced Statistical Training in Psychology (ASTP) at the University of Maryland July 12-20.
SBU SIFE Wins Regional Competition
BOLIVAR, MO – For the 24th time in 25 years, Southwest Baptist University’s Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) team captured a regional championship on March 27 in Rogers, Arkansas. Twenty-six colleges and universities competed for the rights to compete at SIFE Nationals, which will be held in Chicago this May.
SBU Literary Series to Host Author Kathleen Norris

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University and the Barnett-Padgett Literary Author Series will host author Kathleen Norris at 6 p.m. Monday, April 14, in the Davis-Newport Theater located in the Jester Learning Center on the SBU Bolivar main campus. Norris, an award-winning poet, writer and author, will be speaking on her writing and life experiences. The event is free and open to the public.
SBU Computer and Information Sciences Students Win at National Conference

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University Computer and Information Sciences (CIS) students won several awards at the Association of Information Technology Professionals (AITP) National Collegiate Conference (NCC) in Memphis, Tenn. SBU students won nine trophies and awards, acknowledging a top-ten finish at the national level in some area of computing. As a school, SBU was the top award-winner at the national conference with Purdue University finishing second in the award-count.
SBU Forensics Wins First in National Pi Kappa Delta Tournament

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University forensics team won the first place team championship at the National Pi Kappa Delta Tournament held in St. Louis March 7-9. SBU competed against 47 colleges and universities from around the United States to claim the top honors.
