SBU College of Nursing students help out at Teddy Bear Rally

St. John's College of Nursing third semester pediatric students volunteered recently at the 2008 Teddy Bear Rally at Dickerson Park Zoo. The Rally was held April 26. Students worked at the Bear Care Clinic where children brought their favorite stuffed animals that needed a little loving care.


SBU Professor's Composition Selected for Performance at SCI Conference

BOLIVAR, MO –Southwest Baptist University Professor of Music Renee Waters recently attended the Society of Composers Region VI Conference in Huntsville, Texas, April 16-19, 2008.  Her original composition, “Agnus Dei” (for mixed chorus, piano and soprano saxophone), was selected for a feature performance at the conference, and was performed by the Sam Houston State University Concert Choir on April 17.


SBU Music Department to Present Annual Masterworks Concert

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University’s Music Department will present the annual Masterworks Concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, May 2, in Pike Auditorium on SBU’s main campus in Bolivar.  The concert is free and open to the public.

SBU Student Chosen for Advanced Statistical Training

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University student Collin Christensen has been selected as one of 18 students from across the United States to attend the Advanced Statistical Training in Psychology (ASTP) at the University of Maryland July 12-20.
