SBU Spring Commencement May 17

BOLIVAR, MO – The Southwest Baptist University spring commencement is scheduled for Saturday, May 17, at 10:00 a.m. on the Merrill Burnidge Memorial Forum on the main campus in Bolivar.  Approximately 400 undergraduate and graduate students will cross the stage and receive their diplomas.

SBU Wins Central Plains Regional Programming Contest

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University students of the Computer Information Sciences (CIS) department won first and second place at the 14th annual Central Plains regional programming contest of the Consortium for Computing Sciences in Colleges (CCSC) on Saturday, April 5 at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.  Nineteen teams from eight universities participated in the event including three teams from SBU.

SBU's Phi Beta Lambda Chapter Wins Awards at State Conference

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University’s Phi Beta Lambda chapter won 27 top-three finishes at the 49th Annual Missouri Phi Beta Lambda State Leadership Conference held in Jefferson City March 28-29.  The conference featured competitive events for individuals and teams and the election of state officers for next year.

SBU Praeclarus and Jazz Ensemble to Perform Joint Spring Concert

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University’s “Praeclarus” and Jazz Ensemble will present a joint spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 22 in Meyer Recital Hall on the SBU main campus in Bolivar.

SBU Benefits from Monsanto Fund

BOLIVAR, MO – Southwest Baptist University will benefit from a gift from the Monsanto Fund, a private foundation and the philanthropic arm of Monsanto Company, which has contributed $30,000 to the Missouri Colleges Fund.
