Current Research Projects: Fleer is a new faculty member at SBU, and has not yet created a research agenda. She anticipates research in sports medicine and orthopedics.
Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? "I am a three-time graduate of SBU, and enjoyed every moment I was here. The great Academic environment combined with Christian views, and Christian professors is what makes SBU stand above all other Universities. I am truly excited to get to be a part of it! "
Educational and Professional Background: Fleer graduated with a Sports Management degree with an emphasis on athletic training, and fitness and wellness in 1999 from SBU. Then, in 2001 she graduated with a Masters of Physical Therapy, and in 2007 she graduated once again from SBU with a Post-Professional Doctors of Physical Therapy. Fleer has been employed by Cox Health in Springfield, Missouri since 2000 as an athletic trainer then took on the role as Physical Therapist after graduation in 2001 from PT school. Fleer continues to work 20 hours per week in the Outpatient/Sports Medicine Department at Cox Health while teaching at SBU.
