Entry Level Doctor of Physical Therapy Program
Warren B. Davis Family Physical Therapy Center
Physical Therapy Department : A Healing Mission
Welcome
The Doctor of Physical Therapy program at Southwest Baptist University prepares you for your career through the development of knowledge and skills needed for patient management, education, consultation and clinical research.
You will become a dynamic healthcare professional serving to improve the lives of the people you touch. The program builds upon a strong liberal arts background and highlights Christian values and behavior to mold you into a well-rounded professional.
Coursework enables you to build critical and analytical thinking skills, it encourages independent thought, develops effective communication skills and promotes professional behaviors and an appreciation for the values of physical therapy in the health care environment.
Applications are reviewed monthly beginning in September for the 33-month program, which starts the following August. To qualify for this program, a student must hold a bachelor's degree as well as take certain prerequisite courses. See Admissions Process for specific admission requirements and detailed program information. Information included on our site will answer many of your questions. However, we encourage you to contact the department about any questions or to determine course equivalencies for prerequisites.
We are now excited to be a part of PTCAS, the new centralized application process for Physical Therapy Schools. If you have any questions or need further assistance, contact our department any time.
