Courses Taught: Structure of the English Language, History of the English Language, American Literature for the Adolescent Reader (two semesters), English as Second Language (ESL) Design and Assessment, ESL Methods, ESL Practicum, ESL Multicultural Education, ESL Second Language Acquisition, English Composition courses, and English Skills.
Educational and Professional Background: Sukany earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religious Education/Elementary Education from Southwest Baptist University in Bolivar, Missouri; a Middle School Certification from Evangel College in Springfield, Missouri; a Master of Arts in English from Southeast Missouri State University, Cape Girardeau, Missouri; and an ESL Certification from Missouri Southern College in Joplin, Missouri.
Before coming to SBU in 1997, Sukany taught Sixth Grade for the Pleasant Hope Public School System in Pleasant Hope, Missouri.
Faith Dedications: Sukany has served as an Associate Pastor and Worship Director.
