Current Research Projects: Of the genres in my discipline, poetry is my first love. I get a buzz when through the scenery I glimpse a wild poetic idea. I love turning the dogs loose.
Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? "My reasons for teaching at SBU come down to size and spirit. Unlike the mega-university in which the individual—student or professor--can get lost, Southwest does not swallow a person. Rather it invites one into a family, the SBU family, which really exists. And that family understands that it draws its life from the God of the Bible."
