OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS FOR MULTIMEDIA EQUIPMENT

                TURNING EVERYTHING ON

Turn on projector

Use the projector remote and aim towards the projector.  Turn on the projector and wait 30 seconds for projector to warm up.

 

            PROJECTOR CONTROL

Use the buttons on the top of the remote to select either the Computer/MCI or Video.  You may also use the Remote as a laser pointer.

 

            COMPUTER CONTROL

Turn the computer on – CPU and Monitor.  You will need to login.  Make sure the projector is in Computer Mode 

 

VCR CONTROL

Place tape in VCR and use the remote control or push the buttons directly on the VCR.  (Remember - if using the remote you have to point towards the VCR.)  Make sure the projector is in Video Mode

 

            SOUND CONTROL

Adjust ONLY the marked Master volume knob on the audio mixer.  Do not adjust any other buttons on the mixer.  Make sure the power on the mixer is on at all times – DO NOT TURN OFF!

 

            DOCUMENT CAMERA

Turn on the document camera using the switch on the back left side.  Make sure the projector is in Video Mode and that the VCR IS TURNED ON!  You can use the zoom buttons to zoom in and out and you can press the Auto Focus button to focus the camera.  Use the Arm lights for any opaque materials that you are showing – use the Back light for anything transparent.  You may also just have a piece of paper on the projector to write on if you want – use a black felt tip pen for the best results!

 

TURNING EVERYTHING OFF

1.      Turn off Projector

Use the remote and turn off the power

Projector asks "Power Off?" on screen

Select "Off" again.

Note:  Projector cannot be turned on again until it cools off and you see a green light on

the projector.

 

2.      Logoff and shut down the computer.  Turn off CPU and Monitor.

3.      Turn off Document camera.

4.      Leave everything else (VCR, Mixer) turned on.

 

 

MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS LOCKED UP WHEN YOU LEAVE.
