When will I have access to SBU resources?

Student Login

MySBU UserName:  Combine the lower-case letter “s” with your student ID number (no leading zeros).  Example:  If your student number is 0123456, then your MySBU UserName is “s123456”.

MySBU Password:  your 6 digit date of birth (example:  if your date of birth is May 20, 1986, your password is 052086).  Please refer to the password rules below when creating your new password.

Note:  If you are a student who attended Spring 2011, use your WebAdvisor username and password to login to MySBU.  If you have forgotten your WebAdvisor password, please call the help desk at 417-328-1702 and request a password reset.

Employee Login

MySBU UserName:  Employee usernames are made up of the first initial and last name.  Example:  If your name is John Smith, your username will be jsmith.

MySBU Password:  Your 6-digit date of birth (example:  if your date of birth is May 20, 1986, your password is 052086)

Note:  If you are a current employee or were employed during the Spring 2011 semester, use your WebAdvisor username and password.  If you have forgotten your WebAdvisor password, please call the help desk at 417-328-1702 and request a password reset.

Creating Your Password

The following rules and restrictions apply to account passwords:

Rules:

  • Passwords are at least seven and no longer than 16 characters long.
  • The password is case-sensitive.
  • The password can contain uppercase and lowercase letters, and numbers.
  • The password can contain the following ASCII text characters: ` ~ ! @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ + - = { } | [ ] \ : " ; ' < > ? , . /

 

The password cannot contain:

  • Spaces
  • Non-English characters
    The alias part of the e-mail address. For example, if the e-mail address is user@sbuniv.edu, the password can't contain user. This restriction isn't case-sensitive, so USER or User can't be used in the password for user@sbuniv.edu.
