Dummba! (Kui for hello) (I think) haha.

Well, it’s hard to believe it has been another two weeks. We have been spending our time hanging out here in the village and it has been great. We have had a lot of time to actually hang out with people, and our Thai family is very happy with us because we have been around a lot more. Haha. Sometimes Pa will just randomly decide that I need to cook dinner. So he’ll tell me that I should make him dinner. Haha. It’s pretty funny, and we always enjoy it. Pa has decided that he doesn’t really like furong food, so he likes me to make Thai food. Haha, Maa especially likes sweet and sour vegetables. :)

I’ll try to think of some of the things we’ve done in the last couple of weeks, but it might not be very organized (as compared to most of my updates…. Haha).

We have been able to work on our school work some, and that is a very good thing!!

Faa (our Thai sister who lives in Bangkok) came for a visit because it’s her mid-term break. It was great to see her and hang out again. She is so sweet. We made dinner a couple of times, once being furong food, much to Pa’s dismay. One night they invited us to go “gin cow” (eat rice) at Pa’s brother's house. Well, a few hours into the trip we realized that his brother does not exactly live real close. Haha. We drove for several hours and finally reached his house, ate dinner and stayed for about an hour, and headed back. BUT yaa (pa’s mom) came back with us so there was not enough room IN the truck, so we had a several hour long ride in the back of the pickup in the dark. I actually really enjoyed it because I got to stargaze, and I don’t really ever get to do that here. Eventually we fell asleep back there, I kinda felt like I was being smuggled across the border. :)

I had several opportunities to hang out with Kong, and I would like to ask for your Prs for her. She told me that her heart is “mi sabai” (not content or happy) she also talked about going to Bangkok to the temple. I was able to share a little about why my heart IS content. When she saw that I was really worried about her, she hurried to assure me that she was just kidding and she was fine. I know she is genuinely feeling a need, and that is what I have been Pr-ing specifically for her. I would really appreciate your continued prs for her.

We have also been hanging out with Ann and Raem as much as possible, and I just love those girls. Your prs for them would also be greatly appreciated.

The girls told us that they were dancing at the school so we went to go watch them, and it turned out to be a huge cultural event. Haha, there was a huge parade through the village, which of course we joined. Even some of the old people were there in traditional Kui clothing. It was the yearly “sports day” at the school (which actually turned out to be 3 days) where they do traditional Thai dancing and have sports competitions. It was really fun.

We did a clothing give away in one Muu of the village and we were able to give out a lot of tracts as well as a lot of clothes. One pregnant lady was so happy and told us she didn’t know what her baby was going to wear once it was born, but now she had clothes! I was also able to get quite a few more pr partners, so if anyone would like to have a Kui pr partner, I can totally hook you up! That would be AWESOME!

We also went to Kuhnhan both weekends to teach, and as usual I loved it. (well, not the teaching part) The brothers and sisters there are wonderful. I have learned so much about how beautiful the Body can be when it is functioning in unity.

On a more random note, it has been raining like crazy here. There are floods everywhere and we are without power pretty regularly. But I still like rain. :) and for a while longer at least, it is good for the rice.

Our kids are also doing really good. They still come over everyday, and now they are on mid-term break, so they don’t have school for a MONTH. I have no idea how we are going to get any work done, but I do love them. Yat is especially sincere about learning about Dad. most days she reads in our Thai/English Book, and now they are all doing CEF’s mailbox club, which we are really excited about. They fill out a booklet in which they learn about the Lrd, then send it to CEF and they check the answers and write back to them. Last night the power went out, and three of the girls ended up sleeping over. It was tons of fun, and it was great because they asked us to pr for them, and then they each prd, and it was the most sincere prs I’ve ever heard. What a beautiful sound!! :) They also informed us at 5:00am that it was morning already, and they laughed at us and told us we were the last ones to get up. Haha.

Oh, and we officially passed the 4 month mark. That’s crazy. I can’t believe I only have 2 months left. This has brought to me a wide range of emotions. Haha. On the one hand it has made me think of home more, and therefore I have been more homesick; BUT at the same time the mere thought of leaving this place and these people brings tears to my eyes. Anybody want to either build me a transporter or buy me round trip tickets whenever I want?? Haha. sweet.

Keep talking to Dad, it means a lot.

I love you all!
Muan

PS, um, I dropped our cell phone in a raging river, well actually the spillway of a lake, and it was totally irrecoverable. Our friends David and Debby are letting us use their extra one for the remaining 2 months, but if you’ve tried to call, and it sounds like a fish is answering, it probably is. Haha. our new number is: 011 66 0985201

Haha. sorry about that. :)

PSS, new pictures!!! Yay! Haha: http://sbuniv.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2007244&id=177501000&l=35332
