Sawatdeeka!

It’s update time!! Yay for you! :)
I just sent you a mini-update about the medical clinic, so hopefully you got that. Ok, so AFTER the medical clinic and the follow-up meeting Jenn and I headed to Bangkok to meet her family! It was so fun! We got to stay at the Marriott, and it was glorious! Our first night there we got to eat STEAK! AND all kinds of other amazing food! Woo-hoo. It was amazingly yummy. We went on a water taxi tour to the “Temple of the Dawn” it was really cool. We ate lunch on the veranda of “The Oriental Hotel” of Bangkok, one of the most famous hotels in the world. We went to see the infamous Water Market, and it was SO cool. It’s all on the river, and you take a boat and stop in front of the little water-front shops. There were tons of people and the little canal was “bumper to bumper,” good thing we had a driver. It was really cool. We also went to the night bazaar, and that was cool too. The Gundersons were amazing, and treated me as one of the family.

After 3 days of city living, we headed back to the village, where our adventures only continued. GUESS WHAT!?!?! I FINALLY GOT TO RIDE AN ELEPHANT!!! I’m so excited. It was wonderful. I told them I wanted to ride bareback, and I ended up getting to “drive” too! I got to sit on her head/neck, and I learned to steer by kneeling on her ears. Our elephant’s name was “Sohnbon” she was 40 and pregnant. Our driver, who ended up just walking in front of us, (I felt kinda bad for that part), said not to worry because Sohnbon has a “good heart.” It was so cool.

The next day we got to go to this amazing waterfall near Kuhnhan. It was beautiful, I kept thinking “I feel like I’m in Swiss Family Robinson” because we were swimming in a waterfall in the jungle. We actually got to jump off the waterfall too. It was beautiful and so refreshing.
Jenn’s parents headed home Saturday. I am so glad they got to come. Now, it’s back to normal village life. :)

Oh, another exciting story of healing, Pa’s DAD went into the hospital last week for kidney problems and was not doing well at all, the whole family was staying there every night. We of course offered to pr, and a few days later, he got to go home!!! It was really cool.

OK: some Pr requests for you!
*for our continued friendships. Pray for a hunger in their hearts that cannot be satisfied.
*for Mike and Amy, they have some big decisions to make, pr for wisdom.
*for Maa and Pa, as they continue to see Dad at work, that they would see truth and be willing act on that
*for me, and some things that are heavy on my heart.

I love you all, make sure and check out the sweet pics!!
