November 20, 2006 - I’ve missed all of you a lot. My heart goes out to all my Gunderson family relatives that lost their fun Uncle/Grandpa/Husband/Brother Bob Gunderson in this past week. I wish I could have been there for the funeral but my heart is grieving the loss with you.

November 6, 2006 - Well, it’s finally gotten cooler. Everyone’s wearing jackets in the village. In the mornings it’s 70 degrees. I find it pretty chilly too, as California has made me not comfortable unless it’s at least 75 outside! Finally somewhere that I fit in!

October 23, 2006 - Every email, I think I’ve mentioned how fast the time flies. The time is really FLYING this time! 6 weeks until I leave the village of Ban Tum, head to Bangkok, and then back to California. I am anxious to go home but not wanting to leave here either.

October 9, 2006 - Less than 2 months before I’ll be coming home. It’s so hard to believe! Mae and Pa (along with our other Thai friends) are constantly reminding us that our time is running out and how sad they’ll be.

September 25, 2006 - I’ve appreciated all your emails concerning Thailand being under Marshall Law. We are all totally fine and haven’t had any problems.

September 5, 2006 - Life has continued to be go go go here in Thailand! Since I’ve last written, I have made two weekend trips to Kun Han to teach English to the C adults/teenagers and the Compassion kids.

August 28, 2006 - Since I’ve last written, the medical clinic and my family all came and are now gone. It’s been an exciting and busy couple of weeks! We held the Medical Clinic here in the village at the Annumai, our Pa’s work place, and it was a blast!

August 14, 2006 - I can’t believe it’s been a whole week since I wrote last. In my last email I mentioned that the following week would be very busy…it was more than busy, it was insanely busy! Going to Bangkok was a wonderful break.

August 7, 2006 - Once again, it has been another interesting week! On Tuesday night, ALL the electricity in the village was out for 2 hours. Now the village is dark anyway at night even with the “street lamps” and the light coming from the houses. With no lights at all, wow!

July 31, 2006 - I think I failed to mention that every time I send a new update, I usually have to bike 3 1/2 miles (6 something kilometers) and then hop on a crowded bus (sometime you can’t sit) for about an hour to Sisaket (the biggest town closest to us).

July 23, 2006 - I am now officially and completely out of my home stay and life has transitioned a lot! Our house is done. We now have a ghetto blue fridge with lots of random Dalmation stickers on it. We also have a pink stove, I’m loving it!

July 14, 2006 - So much has gone on in the last couple weeks that in the last email I had to cut out some very important events! They are a little out of order.

July 11, 2006 - Living here in Thailand has just become normal and just everyday life. I take that back. There is a gecko on the wall across from me.....

June 30, 2006 - Sa bai! Today it is a rainy day and Naomi and I are loving it! The temperature drops incredibly and life is sa bai (relaxing).

June 24, 2006 - Just writing another update! It has now been 2  weeks since I left home! So hard to believe! Thailand is starting to become my home and I'm slowly getting used to the changes.

June 15, 2006 - After an incredibly LONG flight to Thailand, I got here safely and have lived in the Ban Tum village of the Sisaket Province for one week now!  I feel like I have been here for a very long time.
