Health Sciences

The Health Sciences programs provide associate level and baccalaureate level opportunities for students to explore a variety of allied health professions.  The web –based curriculum offers a variety of courses focusing on preparing students to work in the competitive healthcare field. Courses use a variety of innovative teaching strategies directed on health related  topics, values, research methods, and applications in health science, while enjoying the convenience and flexibility of web-based learning.

*Associate of Science in Health Sciences

The Associate of Science in Health Sciences degree is designed to provide an entry level general education background for students interested in health sciences. This degree is for a student who may have not decided which specific health care field they intend to pursue at the upper-division level.

Associate of Science in Radiology

The Radiography program offers students an Associate of Science degree in Radiography.

Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences

The Bachelor of Science in Health Science program offers a web-based completion degree for allied health professionals. This degree offers a student from an accredited professional program to be given credit for applicable course work from such fields as radiology, dental hygiene, surgical technology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, among other accredited professional programs. All degree candidates are required to complete general education requirements and major requirements as listed in the University catalog.

Paramedic Program

The College of Nursing currently offers a one-year Paramedic certificate program that prepares students to enter the field of Emergency Medical Services as a Paramedic.  Paramedics are highly trained, extremely important members of the allied healthcare team caring for the critically ill or injured in the pre-hospital setting, as well as inside emergency departments or clinics.
