General Information
Pursuing an education in SBU’s Biology department will equip students with the skills necessary to flourish in their field. Recent graduates have scored in the 80-90th percentile on Major Field tests and many are pursing advanced degrees in medicine, physical therapy, and dentistry.
Within the discipline, students can choose to focus on one of three areas: Biomedical Science, Environmental Biology/Field Biology, and General Biology. With smaller class sizes and intentional instruction, the biology program takes pride in providing students with a quality education on a personal basis.
