Current Research Projects: Currently working on a code-oriented approach to teaching computer security to freshmen.
Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? I enjoy teaching computer security, computer architecture, and networks. More than all that, I enjoy working with students - working as a mentor - as they go through life, not just college.

Educational Background: Dr. Cain earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from University of Missouri-Rolla, a Master of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Missouri-Rolla, and a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Oklahoma State University.
