Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? "I firmly believe I am on the faculty of SBU due to divine appointment. This is my calling, not just a vocation. I have the opportunity to impact young minds. How humbling. My students are "sacred trusts". As such, I strive to be one agent in helping them discover who they were created to be and what they were created to do. The academic environment at SBU provides me the freedom to live and grow in my faith, to challenge others to do likewise, and to integrate my personal faith with my discipline. I enjoy challenging students to do the same. How incredibly challenging and rewarding!"
