Who is playing on your iPod? I have an eclectic mix of music. Some of the artists I enjoy include Plumb, Skillet, Hawk Nelson, U2, Chris Botti, Nora Jones, and Michael Buble. My all time favorite, however, is Amy Grant.
What book are you currently reading? I am reading several books related to work and my Ph.D. studies. For pleasure, I am reading Crazy Love by Francis Chan.
What is the best getaway location, local or abroad? The best getaway location is anywhere I can go to take photographs. Of the trips I've taken, I think I've enjoyed Colorado and Italy the most.

Courses Taught: My course load in Bolivar will differ somewhat from the courses I taught at SBU's Salem Campus in previous years. However, at Salem I taught Introduction to Social Work, Death and Dying, Child Abuse and Neglect, Introduction to Sociology, Community Sociology, Minorities in American Society, Human Diversity, the Family, General Psychology, Abnormal Psychology, Theories of Counseling, Junior Seminar, Senior Seminar, and Elementary Statistics.
Why do you enjoy teaching at SBU? I enjoy teaching at SBU for many reasons. I am grateful for the ability to discuss and apply faith in the classroom. I appreciate that smaller classes allow the ability to build relationships with individual students. And, I enjoy working alongside some outstanding faculty, some of whom were my professors when I was a student at SBU.
Educational and Professional Background: I hold a Bachelor of Science in Sociology and Psychology with a minor in counseling from SBU. I also have a Master of Arts in Christian Education from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary and Master of Social Work degree from the University of Central Florida. Presently, I am working on my doctorate in Human Services with a concentration in Social and Community Services through Capella University.
