Expectations for Campers

1.    Have FUN!
2.    Enjoy your time doing LOTS of mathematics!
3.    Work together with other campers to help them have fun and enjoy doing lots of mathematics.
4.    Share your mathematical results when asked (and give others the freedom to share their results too).
5.    Control any frustration you might have when you encounter (which you will) math problems you don’t know how to do.
6.    Enjoy the other activities we will have.
7.    Get along with your roommate, other campers, and counselors.  Respect their privacy.  Don’t do anything that might cause offense to another camper (and apologize if you happen to).
8.    Disruptive behavior will not be tolerated, as it will detract from the experience for the rest of the campers.  I don’t want to make any calls to parents, but will if necessary.  If behavior is disruptive, I will only call home once for parents to provide verbal discipline.  The second call will be to request that they come pick you up.
9.    Keep your dorm room reasonably picked up.
10.    Talk to Dr. Hopkins or one of the counselors if there are any problems (with your health, your attitude, your roommate, campus activities, meals, etc.) so we can attempt to correct them.
11.    Do not wander off from the group by yourself.   Taking a quick restroom break is not considered wandering off, but please let someone know.
12.    Keep track of your roommate(s) (so they don’t wander off from the group by themselves).
13.    Get some sleep.  Lights out will be at 11 pm.  It is expected you will stay in your room during the night.
14.    Get up in the morning to participate in the day’s activities.  Breakfast is at 7:30 am.  We can provide a “wake up” knock if you need one.
15.    Respect the campus.  Don’t do anything that might cause property damage.
